Walter R. Ball 74 of State St. Rd. Port Byron passed away Thursday July 10, 2014 at his home with his family by his side after an extended illness.
Walt was born in the Town of Throop on June 14, 1940 the son of Carroll and Grace Axton Ball. He was a Graduate of Port Byron High School.
He was emplyed by Cayuga Community College as a Custodian for over twenty years retiring in 2002.  He also was a Crop and Dairy Farmer for most of his life.  He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing  and had a love for music and animals.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years the former Helen McKeen. sons Steven (Tina) Ball of Port Byron and Gary Donalds of Throop a daughter Bonnie (Kenneth) Bivens of Las Vegas. Grandchildren Steven Jr., Ashley, Nicholas, Grace, SSophia, Christina and Jackie. and seven Great Grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday July 13, 2014 from 2 - 5 pm at the Audioun Funeral Home LLC 218 Main St. Port Byron, NY.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am Monday July 14, 2014 from the Funeral Home.  Private Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may go to either Hospice of the Finger Lakes1130 Corp. Dr. Auburn, NY 13021 or your local SPCA.

I spent many hours with Cousin Walter playing with him at the farm. We rolled in the sawdust, swung on grapevines and played in the barn. I remember him so fondly as my first playmate.
