Donald David Helmer 58 of Montezuma, NY passed away unexpectedly at Auburn Community Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on Oct. 15, 1965 in Auburn, NY the son of David and Marilyn Helmer. He worked construction in the area for several years. In his earlier years he loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Angela, daughters Jessica (Ryan) Goff of Minoa, NY, Cynthia and Patricia Helmer of Port Byron, NY, his Mother Marilyn Helmer of Port Byron, NY, Brothers Matthew Helmer of Port Byron, NY and Mark (Cyndi) Helmer of Kent, WA, Grandsons Brentlee Goff and Braiden Jackson, Niece and Nephews Matthew, Mason, David and Lily Helmer. He was predeceased by his Father David Helmer, Grandparents, Uncles , Aunts and Cousins. In accordance with his wishes there will be no calling hours or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Audioun Funeral Home LLC 218 Main St. Port Byron is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
