Betty Rigby Obituary

On Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, Betty Rigby, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Betty Rigby was born on March 13, 1937, in West Seneca, NY to Roy and Elizabeth (Harris) Gee. On June 20, 1953, she married the love of her life, Keith Rigby. They raised four sons, Terry, Rodney, Mark, and Dale in Spring Lake, NY. Betty was truly one of a kind. She was generous with all she had. She always had an open door and warm smile for anyone who wanted to stop by. Betty had a way of making the holidays so memorable. Her grandchildren will always remember her giant Christmas stockings (they could fit inside), special visits from Santa, and her amazing Sunday dinners. There was never a time that Betty would turn down spending time with family. Betty enjoyed yard sales, short trips to the casino (secretly for the buffets), watching bull riding, and game shows. Above all else family was everything to her and she meant everything to her family. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, and her sister, Helen Cook. She is survived by her sons Terry (Patty), Rodney (Janet), Mark, and Dale; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl (Ellen) Gee and Roger (Laurie) Gee; nieces and nephews. As per Betty’s wishes there will be no calling hours and a private family service will be held at a later date.
