Harry Brundage Obituary

Harry W. Brundage

Harry W. Brundage, 75, of Port Byron passed away April 18, 2024.  He was born on June 18, 1948, in Auburn, NY to the late Richard and Hazel Brundage.

Harry had a six-year military career with the United States Marine Corps, being honorably discharged in 1974.  After leaving the Marines, Harry worked in several different fields, utilizing his broad skill set, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Harry was the Assistant Superintendent of Industry at Auburn Correctional Facility where he retired in 2010.

He was an avid trout fisherman, spending his spring days at local fishing creeks.  He enjoyed reading, working outside, old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as fixing and building everything for his family as their “MacGyver”. Harry was an active member of the Port Byron Community, serving as a trustee for the Port Byron United Methodist Church and a volunteer for the Port Byron Little League.

Harry will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda, of 55 years; his two children: Melissa (Charles) David and Joshua (Trista) Brundage; five grandchildren: Mitchel (Andrea) David, Chad David, Maggie David (Nicholas Smith), Cameryn Brundage and Ryleigh Brundage; two great-grandchildren: Madelyn David and Charlotte David; as well as several cousins.

A private grave side service will be held for immediate family at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Port Byron.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Port Byron Little League and the Port Byron United Methodist Church.
